It’s currently October, but I feel like October has done what all other months in New Zealand has so far; slipped out of my grip before I even realized it started.
Most of my days are now filled with work; morning to night. One of the highlights this week was certainly to have the chance to meet Witi Ihimaera, who is a former diplomat turned author and now has all sorts of projects going on. He wrote one of the books we had to read as a part of our course in literature, The Whale Rider, which I loved and gulped down in the matter of just a few hours. Therefore it was really interesting to meet the person behind the book, hear his viewpoints on certain events and stylistic writing, along with his thoughts of the movie itself.
See you soon!
